New Plants Next Spring

One of my tricks to keeping my desire to grow plants going is trying new plants.  As a garden writer, I am especially lucky to sometimes try new plants before they are at the local garden center.  Here are some I tried last summer.

Two more verbena, last year I loved Royale Chambray for its strong blue color.

New Calibrachoa will be easy to find next year.  Superbells Sweet Tart, Grape Punch and Cherry Star were the three I grew.  New or been-around for a while, Calibrachoa is an easy plant to grow.

Look for small or dwarf daylilies if your garden is in containers now.

Look for daylily plants labeled as small or dwarf, these cultivars will fit in containers.

Look for these plants next spring.  I had much success growing them, which helps to stay gardening.
